- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) whole tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté diced onions until golden brown. Add minced garlic and ginger; cook until fragrant.
- Pour in canned tomatoes with juices. Simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
- Use an immersion blender to blend the sauce until smooth.
- Stir in heavy cream until well combined. Add the marinated chicken and cook for another 10 minutes or until fully cooked.
- Transfer to plates or bowls and drizzle with extra cream if desired. Serve with basmati rice or warm naan bread.
