  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp garam masala

Instructions

  1. Cut the boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter, then sauté chopped onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger until fragrant (about 5 minutes).
  3. Incorporate the seasoned chicken pieces into the skillet. Cook until browned on all sides (approximately 6 minutes).
  4. Add canned tomato puree and coconut milk to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture along with additional salt and pepper to taste. Allow it to simmer gently for another 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer your butter chicken onto plates or bowls. Pair with fluffy rice or warm naan, drizzling extra sauce over the dish if desired.
