  • Begin by gently pounding the chicken cutlets to an even thickness.
  • Lightly coat each chicken cutlet with flour, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the chicken cutlets and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic.
  • Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the lemon juice and zest, stir in the chicken broth, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken cutlets to the pan, coating them in the lemon sauce.
  • Cook for another minute, then plate and drizzle with the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or capers if desired.
