Instructions
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Frying
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
Remove chicken from marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
Carefully add chicken pieces to the hot oil. Fry in batches until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Once cooked, remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
Serving
Serve hot, and enjoy with side dishes like Tangy Slaw or in a sandwich.
